Arrived at Ft. Walton Beach today after a short drive from New Orleans. We arrived at the hotel around 1:30 and got a upgrade to our king room to a suite, cause they gave our room to someone else. Nice though. Small kitchen and a living room so we have something to sit on besides the bed.
Really nice beaches here. Very white sand and clean. Really clean. Made me think back to the time I spent in Tropea and how dirty their beach was. We didn't even see any animals on the beach. Maybe it's against the law here.
The weather is beautiful but a cold front moved through last night and it only got to 55 or so which led Kathy to bundle up on the beach. Turning even colder tomorrow with a high of only 50. Ice Picnic time.
Using a tablet version of blogger tonight so I might not get some pics posted to this. I'll make it up to you on Friday when we get to Crystal River and have a better Internet connection. The one here at the Wyndham won't let me get on with my little netbook.
Sightseeing and maybe a few condos to look at, but we pretty much decided that it's too cold up here on the Panhandle, so we'll look farther south.
