Day 25 - No Joy In Mudville

So I was at my local favorite mini-market last night and found what seemed to be "tortillas".Very expensive "tortillas". Like 1 dollar each "tortillas". But I bought them just the same. All three in a pack of them.

The packaging actually made them appear to be wraps, but they were much thicker than what we use to make wraps, so I opted for mini (8 or 9 inch) pizzas for dinner last night.

A little tomato sauce, some fresh garlic, cheese, oregano and soprassetta sausge. Five minutes in the mini oven and dinner is served.

Don't tell Eduardo, this one's not on the list of 500 pizzas.

Awoke today to the continuing pattern of 1 day sunshine, 1 day rain. Continuous drizzle all day so I stayed in and worked on this blog, swept and moped the floor, read (a lot), listened to the blues on my portable speakers, did the dishes, watched some ski jumping, skeleton (think luge, head first), the usual soccer, some gymnastics, women's indoor field hockey  had fruit for breakfast and lots of BBC and CNN international (all with the sound down).

Pretty dull and boring day

Cooking pasta tonight. Fresh mushroom, tomatoes, garlic and tomato sauce on penne pasta with a nice salad.

It better be sunny tomorrow, it's market day and I need some olives and fresh sausage.Or I guess I'll just get the umbrella out and shop in the rain. Plus I'd like to make some movies of the old section of town to share with everyone, but will wait till it's really nice.

Many thanks to Corky and Kelly and Don for Skyping me last night. I needed the conversation.

That's it. Ciao for now.

Just 7 days left in Tropea then off to Sorrento and Roma.
